Don’t worry, following these instructions won’t crack your screen like the iPhone pictured above. That phone had an unfortunate accident that involved a tile floor. I didn’t have a case on the phone and I guess that’s what I get. However, despite the shattered looking screen, it’s still working quite well. I am quite happy with my iPhone.
Setting up Gmail in the mail app on the iPad or iPhone
Alright, this is really quite simple. I’m probably going to end up spending less time going over this than I did telling my cracked phone screen story. Ok, here we go.
By default, the icon for the Mail app is located one spot from the left at the bottom of the screen. At least I think that’s the default. I move my icons around so often I can’t really be sure of anything.
We need to get to the “Add Account” screen. If you don’t currently have any accounts set up in the mail app then simply taping on the mail app icon should take you to the Add Account screen.
Alternatively, you can go to Settings, tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars, then press Add Account in the top right hand of the screen.
Alright, now that we’re at the Add Account screen, press “Google.”
Enter your Gmail username and password and hit Sign in.
I hope this was helpful. If you are looking for help with something else tech related, please let me know.
